Titans QB Marcus Mariota Apologizes for Short Answers After Sunday’s Game

It was Marcus Mariota’s performance after the game that bothered his mom the most, Jason Wolf of the Tennessean reports.

The Titans’ franchise quarterback apologized to reporters immediately following practice Wednesday at Arizona State University after he offered little more than terse comments and said he was “pissed” during his postgame press conference Sunday, following the Titans’ 12-7 lost to the Cardinals.

“Real quick, I want to say I am sorry for the way I handled the press conference,” Mariota said. “I know not everybody that was there is here. But I was rude and inappropriate, and I just want to say I apologize for it.”

“It’s funny, because I got an earful of it from my mom, so that’s how I was raised and I appreciate you guys understanding.”
