Titans Ink Former Colts OLB Erik Walden

USA Today Sports

The Titans have agreed to terms on a one-year deal with former Colts outside linebacker and MTSU standout Erik Walden, Jason Wolf of the Tennessean has confirmed.

Walden, who turns 32 in August, set career highs with 11 sacks and three forced fumbles last season, his fourth with Indianapolis. He started all 16 games.

Walden was a sixth-round pick by the Cowboys in 2008 after he was twice named first-team All-Sun Belt as a defensive end at MTSU.

Walden has also played for the Chiefs, Dolphins and Packers, winning Super Bowl XLV with Green Bay in 2010. But he didn’t play in the game after suffering an ankle injury in the NFC Championship, which has “kind of been haunting me,” he told the Indianapolis Star in 2015.

“That’s been my motivation, to get back to that show, and, Lord willing this time, to be able to play,” he said.
