Marcus Mariota is ready to go for Titans training camp after spending the offseason recovering from a broken right leg, Jason Wolf of the Tennessean reports. The players report Friday and the first practice is Saturday.
“I feel great,” Mariota told the team’s website on Tuesday. “With camp starting on Friday I think my body is in good shape, and I can’t wait to get it going.”
Mariota had surgery after fracturing his right fibula at Jacksonville in the second-to-last game last season. He spent much of the offseason rehabbing in Hawaii and Oregon and was a limited participant during the Titans’ offseason workouts.
“I will be ready to go with everything,” Mariota said during a stop at DeKalb County High School, one of four promotional visits he’s making to Tennessee highs schools as part of the Titans’ affiliation with Saint Thomas Health. “I will be full-go in practice, and I will be able to do everything with the guys. And I am excited about that because I wasn’t able to do it in OTAs. It should be a lot of fun.”
