In Terms of Success – Titans Rank 25th in NFL in New Article

Mike Freeman, Lead NFL National Reporter for Bleacher Report, has written a long piece which talks about each and every NFL franchise, and their success.

There’s a number of factors involved, including Super Bowl, Conference and division titles. The Titans didn’t get much love on the list, as according to Freeman, they are coming in at 25.

Here’s what Freeman has to say about the Titans:

“I always wanted to win. When it comes down to it, success is all about winning.” —Steve McNair to me

The Tennessee Titans lost one Super Bowl by inches, but in the 1960 and 1961 seasons, the then-Houston Oilers dominated the NFL. They won back-to-back championships with George Blanda as the quarterback. They were a smart, efficient team.
