NFL.com reported today about Titans rookie and second overall pick Marcus Mariota, a player who has been impressive at camp thus far, to the point where even his teammates are raving about him.
Veteran receiver Harry Douglas recently raved about the “unbelievable accuracy” Mariota showcased in OTAs and minicamp.
“I feel like Marcus has done everything he needs to do to get the ball to his receivers,” Douglas added, via ESPN.com’s Paul Kuharsky.
Douglas isn’t alone in that assessment.
Wide receivers coach Shawn Jefferson noted that Mariota has been “deadly accurate” in practices.
“No. 1, it’s his accuracy,” Jefferson continued. “No. 2, he’s come in and grasped the offense. And No. 3 is the way the guys respond to him, the way he’s able to go in that huddle and take control. … I am just giddy about his future going forward.”
Marcus Mariota, although only drafted at number 2, is the best player in the draft in my opinion. I think he is a better leader on and off the field than Winston and he is a smarter player as well. I think the Titans will franchise Mariota and he will play for them on Sundays for years to come. Excited to see the Titans step up from last season.

He might play in the NFL for years to come, but only if the Titans’ joke of an OL doesn’t get him killed first.
