According to Gregg Rosenthal of NFL.com, NFL spokesman Greg Aiello there is no timetable for the announcement of any suspension for wide receiver Kenny Britt.
“There are no specific timelines for these cases,” Aiello said. “Each one is unique. When it’s done, it’s done and we announce something (or not).”
Britt is expected to get a short suspension after his recent arrest for DUI, probably no more than three games. As suspensions go, this wouldn’t be that poorly timed for Britt. It would give him some extra time to rehabilitate his knee.
It is, however, poorly timed for second-year quuarterback Jake Locker, who has to go up against the New England Patriots in his first official start without his best wide receiver.
