Former Titans punter Craig Hentrich has sued the team for benefits under worker’s compensation. The lawsuit was filed on Tuesday in Circuit Court for Davidson County. Hentrich’s attorney, Gregg Ramos, said the suit relates to back, neck, right knee and left shoulder injuries the punter suffered during his playing career with the Titans from 1998-2009. “It is really not about money,” Ramos said.
“It is about the future medical benefits for football-related injuries he sustained as a member of the Tennessee Titans.” The lawsuit states Hentrich suffered a cervical spine injury during the Titans’ playoff game against the Bills on or about January 8, 2000, while making a tackle. Hentrich re-injured his neck and back multiple times during his career and had surgeries, but doctors have since certified Hentrich as partially disabled, according to the lawsuit.
