Matt Hasselbeck threw for three touchdowns and Chris Johnson finally eclipsed the 100-yard mark as the Tennessee Titans took down the Cleveland Browns 31-13.
This isn’t the 2010 Tennessee Titans, don’t stack the box or the gunslinging Hasselbeck will make you pay through the air again and again. Tennessee moved the ball at will for most of the game, mixing the run and the pass to shred the Cleveland defense.
The Titans made the most of opportunities with a few big plays as they jumped out to an early 21-6 lead.
“Coming in, we knew about the way Cleveland came back to win a week ago,” Hasselbeck. “We wanted to get out to the lead if we could. We made some big plays. That happens sometimes when you (Cleveland) are in man coverage. When you play physical like they do, up on a guy, sometimes it backfires.”
It wasn’t just the offense making plays for the Titans however, as Jordan Babineux took a Colt McCoy pass 97 yards for a touchdown to stretch the Titan lead to 31-6.
“That’s why we called him ‘Big Play Babs’ in Seattle,” Hasselbeck said.
