The Titans announced that they have agreed to a contract with defensive end Jacob Ford on a one-year deal.
A sixth-round pick out of Central Arkansas by the Titans in 2007, Ford has 90 tackles and 15.5 quarterback sacks in 43 games over the last three seasons after spending his rookie year on injured reserve with an Achilles injury.
The 6-foot-4, 252-pound Ford has seen his production dip in each of the last three seasons. With 2010 Pro Bowler Jason Babin moving on, Ford will be asked to pick up the pass-rushing slack, and with a good season could find a longer-term deal as a free agent in 2012.
