It’s day one of the NFL frenzy known as 2011 free agency as the Titans made good on their promise to offer Hasselbeck a large offer and signed him away from the Seattle Seahawks.
Any questions as to who the starting quarterback would be for the upcoming season were quickly answered as the Titans signed the 35-year-old to a multi-year contract, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Hasselbeck will provide solid veteran leadership for first round selection Jake Locker, who can now sit back and learn the system and Hasselbeck enjoys the safety blanket of running back Chris Johnson behind him, something Hasselbeck has been without for several years.
