Fox Sports reports that the Titans have hired Devin Bonik to be an assistant head coach for new coach Mike Munchak.
The Tennessee Titans have added a new member to their coaching staff. A source told FOXSports.com that Devin Bonik was hired as an assistant to head coach Mike Munchak.
Bonik held the same position with the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2003 to 2009. While working under Jaguars head coach Jack Del Rio, Bonik assisted in coaching staff decisions, personnel evaluation, and coordinated Jacksonville’s practice schedule and football calendar. Bonik also helped in game preparation by compiling scouting reports and statistical analysis for upcoming opponents.
Bonik is expected to have same responsibilities in Tennessee. Bonik was a graduate assistant in 1985 and 1986 at Oklahoma State University, where he had played outside linebacker under then-head coach Jimmy Johnson. Bonik then formed Forever Sports Inc., which operated residential football camps for more than 25,000 youths over the next 14 years.
