Kenny Britt Now Facing Misdemeanor Charges

Jim Wyatt of the Tennesseean has reported that Britt will no longer face felony charges for eluding an officer and instead will face three disorderly person charges.

Britt was arrested after attempting to flee officers after being clocked driving 71 mph in a 50 zone.

“I don’t want people to get the wrong impression here,” Hudson County  prosecutor Edward DeFazio said. “Somebody who was not Kenny Britt who was in a similar circumstance would have the same thing happen to their case. No one was injured and this is a typical disposition for someone who was in a similar circumstance.”

Prosecutors reviewed his arrest and decided that felony charges did not meet the actions taken by Britt on April 12.
