Despite the NFL’s current labor situation, newly selected first round pick Jake Locker is planning to work out with his new teammates.
“I have talked to a few of my new teammates and they said it would be great if I could make it [to Nashville], and I am definitely going to make that happen,” “It would be nice to get to know them and spend time with them, get comfortable and familiar with them and start that whole bonding process, I guess,” Locker spoke to Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean.
Although no team practices are currently taking place, Locker says that he will continue to work out and try to keep up his arm strength and improve his footwork during the offseason. He has been working with former NFL quarterback Ken O’Brien to help him along the way.
“We’re mainly working on consistency, really,’’ Locker said. “We want to make sure the throws look the same every time. It’s fluid, it’s controlled and it’s correct time after time after time. I feel like the advice he gives me is really helpful.’’
As a Titan fan, it’s reassuring to see a young talent come in who is willing to work and put in the time to become to future of the franchise.
