D-Line Coach Washburn Speaking to the Eagles

Titans defensive line coach Jim Washburn has been in discussions with the Eagles in recent days and there were indications Tuesday night that he could be leaving the Titans after 12 seasons according to Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean.

Washburn, 61, who returned from vacation Tuesday night, said, “I can’t say anything right now. Nothing has been done. I have to make sure what I want to do. At my age, it’s real important.”

The Eagles fired their defensive line coach of the past two years, Rory Segrest, earlier this month.

“The only thing I can confirm is he has been talking them,” Fisher said of Washburn and the Eagles. “We are in the middle of it and going back and forth. I would think we’d find out in the next day or so.”
