Can Jeff Fisher Save the Season?

Jeff Fisher is widely considered to be one of the best coaches in the league, but this season has turned into a complete disaster after beginning with so much promise.

By Week 6, the Titans looked like they were a definite lock for the playoffs, but now entering Week 14, there’s pretty much no hope they’ll make the postseason.

Fisher has seen his starting quarterback, Vince Young, once again succumb to the immaturity bug right after he was bitten by the injury bug. Young’s future with the team is uncertain, and owner Bud Adams still seems to really like the guy despite his recent track record of not handling the pressure well.

Fisher could be a casualty of all this, and former Titans star Eddie George even remarked how tired Fisher looks and how the team isn’t playing with the same energy he’s used to seeing under Fisher.

This season is over for the Titans, there’s just no real way the Titans even fight their way back into the Wild Card race with the Ravens and Jets in commanding Wild Card leads at the moment, not to mention there’s still the Colts and Jaguars to deal with in their own division.

The offseason drama in Tennessee will be interesting to see, because we’ll find out who wins the Fisher-Young battle.
