Lane Kiffen did what he could to explain the shenanigans that took place while poaching away former Titans running backs coach Kennedy Pola, yet still failed.
After signing Pola as the USC offensive coordinator, Kiffin called Fisher to let him know of the situation.
“Kennedy said he would think about it and get back to us today. Once Kennedy did call back earlier today, out of my great respect for Coach Fisher I immediately reached out to Coach to make him aware of the situation. I have spoken with Coach Fisher and he now has an accurate understanding of the timeline of events,” Kiffin said.
In Kiffen’s mind, this was the classy thing to do.
However, it’s hard to argue that this was one of the classier things Kiffen has done to the state of Tennessee.
