Titans Sign 6th Round Pick Robert Johnson

Titans sixth-round safety Robert Johnson has agreed to terms on a contract. A three-year starter at the University of Utah after transferring from L.A. Southwest College, Johnson totaled 155 tackles, including 5 for a loss, with 13 interceptions and 26 total passes defensed.

Johnson twice earned All-Mountain West Conference honors, including first-team in 2009 after posting a team-high six interceptions. The 6-2, 203-pound Johnson is an exceptional athlete with a knack for making plays on the ball. Johnson will compete for a back-up safety job with the Titans, with his special teams play likely the determining factor towards earning a spot on the Titans’ 53-man roster this season.

  1. Oilers Forever says:

Well, if for some reason he doesn’t make the Oilers/Titans, he can always try to hook on with a better team. Someone like Oakland.
