Rookie Howard pleads no contest to assault case

Defensive lineman David Howard pleaded no contest to an assault case that occurred in April of 2009, according to ProFootballtalk.  The rookie is expected to have the incident expunged from his record if he is able to stay out of trouble for a year.

The incident occurred before the 2010 draft and is likely not going to affect Howard’s status with the team or league.
