16 Games in 16 Days : Week 12 : Houston

The Good : Despite having talent on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball, Houston is a team still struggling to put together a winning season.  Often times underachieving creates offseason drama, and there is no shortage of it in Houston these days.  Andre Johnson, who has tremendously outlived his contract, is looking for a new deal this year.  Johnson’s situation is very similar to Titans running back Chris Johnson, both of whom have played well above their salaries.  Also, defensive rookie of the year Brian Cushing will be suspended for the first four games of the regular season for violating the league’s substance abuse policy for using HGH.  This speculation has brought unwanted attention to the Texans locker room.

The Bad : Andre Johnson will still be on the field.  He is arguably the best wide receiver in the league and continues the trend of the Titans facing strong wideouts.  Also, Houston has began to build a solid defensive front around former number one overall pick Mario Williams, and breakout linebacker DeMeco Ryans.  Accompany that with emerging defensive tackle Amobi Okoye, and your looking at a team who will be tough to establish a run game against.

Prediction : Texans
