King says Titans near the bottom of the power rankings

For those of you that don’t regularly read Peter King’s ‘Monday Morning QB’ column on, your missing out. King remains to me about the strongest writer in the NFL, and every week this column never lets me down when it comes to the pulse of the league.

Today he did his power rankings, which is pretty funny considering the time of the year. He had the Packers ranked #1, which is intriguing to say the least, but guess who he says is at #27? You guessed it:

27. Tennessee. Tough to see a Jeff Fisher team down for a second straight year, particularly coming off such a strong finish last year. But this is a team in transition, unsure where the pass-rush will come from and whether Vince Young can be the quarterback of the future.

King is a hack. He has Miami at #6 and Carolina at #8? With Seattle winning the NFC West? I read his columns, if only because he has good information that other journalists don’t seem to get, but he’s such an apologist for the players/coaches that he likes that he’s really lost a lot of credibility with me.
