New D Coordinator Cecil Already Feeling Heat

The Titans have struggled on defense so far, and it looks like coordinator Chuck Cecil is already starting to sweat about it:

When Chuck Cecil was promoted from Titans secondary coach to defensive coordinator, he knew he was assuming more responsibilities and more pressure. Now he’s getting his first taste of something else — criticism. Cecil said he could handle it, and his players said they have his back. “It’s something you hope you don’t have to deal with, but it is something you anticipate. It’s part of the job,” said Cecil, who replaced Jim Schwartz in February. “As the coordinator I have to take the majority of the responsibility. That is what goes with the title. I understand that. So my job right now is to remain objective, get things fixed, and make sure we play a whole lot better.” Two games into the season, things couldn’t be much worse for the Titans. A team that finished with the NFL’s best record last season is 0-2, and the biggest problems have been on defense.
