Could Matt Jones Be an Answer to the Titans WR Core?

Do you want Matt Jones on this roster? Here’s what the Nashville City Paper says today about the former Jags WR maybe being a part of the Titans:

Of the crop of receivers available, Jeff Fisher reiterated that the Titans would not pursue Marvin Harrison, whom it had been reported that the team had contacted – something Fisher denied last week. The best available player at receiver is probably Matt Jones, though he has had off-field issues of his own in the past.

  1. Royce says:

YES!!!!!!! You can get him for a song and I think he would like to prove to everyone he can play

  2. Eric says:

If we got Matt Jones that would cover another big, tall, strong and fast rec. that we’ve been needing since Mason’s departure. He would secure at least a #3 or get into the rotation.

  3. Syd Wood says:

He will be the #1 Titans receiver by October. Jags were stupid to let him go.

  4. I think getting Matt Jones would be a steal. He was turning the corner as a outstanding WR last year despite being on a run orinnated offense. With a good QB throwing to him you will see what a 6’8″ 4.4sec receiver can do when he is turned loose.
