Johnson and White to go by “Smash and Dash” Again
LenDale White and Chris Johnson will once again be known as “Smash and Dash” in the 2009 season:
Smash and Dash are back. Sort of like KISS putting its trademark makeup back on a few years ago for a reunion tour, LenDale White and Chris Johnson say they are Smash and Dash once again by popular demand. “You’ve got to go with what works,” said White, who also said that 2009 Hall of Fame inductee Rod Woodson encouraged him and Johnson to take back the nickname. Both Woodson and Deion Sanders said Smash and Dash needed to return, according to White. “That’s the bottom line. Until you get a yellow jacket, you’ve got to bow down,” White said. “Prime was telling me things like that. Deion said he wanted to see that back. Older guys around the league have been telling us that. They paved the streets. They put down the concrete or us. You’ve got to take heed and listen. That’s how it is.”

It will be better this way because they are both so important to us.
