The Titans may still want to add some depth to the wide out core, and might go back to an old friend to do it. Today the team met with Drew Bennett, who started his NFL career with the Titans. He was at the teams headquarters on Monday, talking to team officials.
Bennett got his start as an undrafted free agent out of UCLA in 2001, and he led the team in receptions for two of his six seasons there. The 30-year-old Bennett left as a free agent and signed a six-year, $30 million contract with St. Louis in 2007. He caught 34 passes before a broken foot ended his season in 2008. He also has visited with Atlanta and Cleveland after being released by the Rams.
The Titans already grabbed a couple of wide outs this offseason, as they signed Nate Washington and drafted Kenny Britt in the first round.
