The Titans today agreed to terms with punter Craig Hentrich, who will be back for his 16th NFL season in 2009. The punter had thrown around the thought of retirement earlier this offseason, but informed the Titans of his decision to keep playing earlier this week.
“Craig has been such a valuable player for us in so many ways during his time here and we are pleased to be able to agree on a contract with him for another year,” said Titans general manager Mike Reinfeldt.
Hentrich has been with the Titans for the past 11 seasons after playing his first four years of his career with the Green Bay Packers. He averaged 42.8 yards per punt last season on 87 kicks.
