Collins and Titans Come to Terms on a New Deal

The Titans and quarterback Kerry Collins have come to terms on a new deal according to reports.

Collins last season came in after Vince Young hurt his knee, and never lost the starting job as he led the team to a 13-3 record and home field in the AFC in the playoffs. While the Titans did lose their first divisional playoff game to the Ravens, Collins still had a good season, throwing for 2676 yards and 12 touchdowns and a QB rating of 80.2 while making the Pro Bowl.

Collins said that the only way he was going to come back to the Titans was by being signed as a starter. The Titans have had Collins for three seasons, and 2009 was his first as a starter. He had also played with the Panthers, Saints, Giants and Raiders after being the Panthers first round pick (5th overall) of the 1995 draft.
