Today’s Tennessean is reporting that the Titans may lose their best TE this offseason, as Bo Scaife is going to explore the free agency market. Here is the story from Wednesday’s edition:
The agent for Titans tight end Bo Scaife said on Wednesday his client plans to test the open market when free agency begins. Scaife, who led the team in receptions last season, is scheduled to become a free agent on Feb. 27.
“We’ve had some discussions with the Titans regarding a contract for Bo and nothing is imminent at this point,’’ agent Kevin Robinson said. “At this point he is three weeks away from unrestricted free agency so I think it is wise for him to see what unrestricted free agency has out there for him. I think it’s fair for him to see what his value is in the league. We’ve advised him that that is what he should do.’’
Scaife, a sixth round draft pick by the Titans in 2006, had 58 catches for 561 yards and two touchdowns last season.
