The Tennessee Titans typically only keep two quarterbacks; it appears that no longer is the case as according to Gary Estwick of the Tennessean, the team re-signed Chris Simms to a contract on Monday – 2 days after releasing him. To accomodate Simms, the Titans waived punter Josh Miller. According to team head coach Jeff Fisher,
“We’re keeping Chris around because he’s important to us, not only for the immediate future but for the future. Chris totally understood the move, and we assured him we’d get him back under contract and we did.”
