Rookie Back Johnson Making Heads Turn Already

In the first round of the NFL Draft last April, many people thought the Titans would have picked a wide receiver due to this position being the least talented on the entire team. Every single WR was available when the Titans were on the clock, yet instead of going that route, they chose RB Chris Johnson. Although this move was very shocking at first, I believe it turned out best for the Titans.
Chris Johnson ran the fastest 40 yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine and ever since he was drafted, he has shown this world class speed. Johnson is at least in the top 5 of players being considered for Rookie of the Year this season. He is one of the best, if not the best rookie running backs.
Johnson currently has 2 rushing touchdowns and 1 receiving touchdown. He is currently has 337 rushing yards, and is on track to surpass a 1000 yards in rushing this season. His blazing speed combined with his versatility as an excellent receiver makes him a prime target in Tennessee?s offensive strategy. He also one part of a dynamic pair of running back teams.
Lendale White provides a strong, physical attack while Johnson brings a speed and elusiveness into each game. This pair challenges defenses by leaving them tired and not knowing who or what to expect on each and every play. If Johnson can remain healthy and continue to make the game changing plays (that he has already proved he can make this season), he will be the recipient of the 2008 NFL Rookie of the Year award.
