The Titans will unveil a ring of honor at LP Field this Sunday, as they open the 2008 season against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The “Tennessean” newspaper in Nashville reports team owner Bud Adams decided to create the ring to honor the tenth anniversary of the team’s move to Tennessee. Initial honorees will be Adams and the nine current members of the Oilers/Titans Hall of Fame. Among those are seven members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, including quarterback Warren Moon, running back Earl Campbell, and offensive lineman Bruce Matthews. Sunday’s season opener kicks off at noon.
