Reports Have Franchise Player Haynesworth and Titans Doing Last Minute Talking
Posted by Matt Loede on July 14th, 2008 in Rumors

While it’s considered a long shot to get him signed before the deadline, Albert Breer of SportingNews.com is reporting that the Titans are talking to Albert Haynesworth about signing a long-term deal. Haynesworth is the Titans franchise player, and if they can’t get him signed to a new deal by tomorrow, they will have to wait till the offseason to do so again. Word from sources is that the Titans want to give Haynesworth, who was a stud on the line last season, a deal that would be near what the Bears gave Tommie Harris recently – four year at $40 million.
