Former Texans RB Ron Dayne will visit the Titans Thursday and undergo a physical and workout for the team. Dayne played the Titans four times in his career with the Texans totaling 44 rushes for 289 yards, three rushing touchdowns, 9 receptions for 64 yards and a fumble. Nearly all of his yardage came from the last games of the 2006 and 2007 seasons when he was most used for the Texans. At thirty years old, Dayne’s tank has yet to get near empty as he’s well capable of hauling a team’s run game on his back. Last season, Dayne amassed 773 yards and six touchdowns after Texans RB Ahman Green hit the IR. The Titans have seen what Dayne’s capable of, and they’re interested in finding out if he can join their stable of backs in LenDale White, Chris Johnson and Chris Henry. Word has it that the Titans haven’t been pleased with second year RB Chris Henry. Chris Johnson was drafted in the first round, and LenDale White has a lock on the starter role.
