Titans First Rounder Johnson Wants ROY Honors and to Play in Super Bowl

Johnson

In an interview with Nashville’s The City Paper, Titans first round pick, Chris Johnson said he would like to win Rookie of the Year and just play in the Super Bowl.

The City Paper: How happy would you be as Rookie of the Year?
Chris Johnson: I would like to be that. Then again, I feel if I can contribute and help us get to the Super Bowl, that could help me get Rookie of the Year. When I’m sitting down and writing out my goals or whatever, I don’t write down each individual goals. I just look at it like I can help this team get to a Super Bowl.

The drafted rookie will compete with last year’s second round pick, Chris Henry, for the reserve role behind the 2006 second round choice, LenDale White. The Titans reportedly would also like to use Johnson as a receiver-toy for Vince. Johnson’s speed and ability to break tackles will be useful where ever he is on the field.
