Victim, Wife Angry Over Plea Bargain
Posted by Matt Loede on November 15th, 2007 filed in NewsThe announcement that Las Vegas prosecutors cut a plea deal with suspended Adam “Pacman” Jones is not sitting well with everyone. On Tuesday, attorney Robert Langford announced Jones would plead “no contest” to a gross misdemeanor count of conspiracy to commit disorderly conduct. In return, the Titans cornerback would get a one-year suspended jail sentence, and testify in any hearings connected with the shooting at the Minxx Gentlemen’s club. He would also have to serve 200 hours of community service, undergo drug testing and take anger management courses. But Jones won’t be sentenced until after he testifies in the case. The melee outside the Minxx Gentlemen’s club in February led to a shooting that left three people wounded. One of the victims, club bouncer Tom Urbanski, was left paralyzed from the waist down. His wife Kathy wanted to see Jones face a judge.
