Titans Release Woods; No Interest in WR Williams

The Titans have said good-bye to linebacker LeVar Woods, who was known more for his play on special teams.  Woods had played in 8 games this year and was fourth on the team with five special teams tackles.  The LB had been nursing both knee and ankle injuries the last few weeks, and his agent said he’ll file an injury grievance.  He had also played with the Cardinals and Lions.  One player who would love to join the Titans is wide out Mike Williams, who was released a few weeks back by the Raiders.  The Titans are not really that interested, despite their issues with the wide out spot.  He did work out with the team last week.  “We have been in constant communication with (the Titans) since his workout,’’ agent Sean Kiernan said. ”Now it is just a matter of finding out whether Mike will fill that spot. It could, but we don’t have an indication either way right now. We’re hoping to hear (today).’’
