Moulds Joins Titans; Adds Experience to WR Position

The Titans finally did something to upgrade their wide out core on Wednesday, signing former Bills and Texans reciever Eric Moulds.  The team seemed to go back and forth on taking on Moulds, and did have him in for a workout after he was let go by Houston.  Then at one point in the late spring the team stated that they were not going to go after him.  Then after a few months of watching their wide out core not live up to what they thought they had, they finally pulled the trigger and went out and got Moulds.

The price to pay for Moulds should not be too much, as there were not many other teams out there suiting him.  The 34-year-old caught 57 passes last season for 557 yards and a touchdown.  He was a solid reciever with the Bills, and in his career had 48 touchdowns to go along with 675 catches and 9,096 yards.  “Eric is a proven and productive receiver in this league,” said Titans general manager Mike Reinfeldt. “He provides us a big target with sure hands and his veteran leadership is a valuable addition to our receiving corps.”  The team waived WR Clint Solomon to make room for Moulds.
