German Defensive End to Join Titans Practice Squad

The Titans are getting a little international flavor on their roster, as the team will be getting a German defensive end – Ulrich Winkler, on their practice squad. Tennessee is one of 11 NFL teams that will is taking part of a league program that makes room on practice squads for international players. Winkler will be an extra on the practice unit. He comes to the team after playing one season in NFL Europa, where he recorded 20 tackles and 4.5 sacks for Frankfurt. He is listed as 6-foot-5 and 258 pounds. Winkler was with the Cleveland Browns in 2006. Ulrich qualifies as an exemption and the Titans will still be able to carry eight practice squad players.
